As the world attempts to return to normal, the countdown to the biggest festival in South Scotland is on, and we are determined to make it a celebration to remember. The festival will run from 14th – 30th January in our new home at the Loreburn Hall.
There are lots of ways that schools can interact with Big Burns Supper, so we thought we would make you aware of how your pupils, staff and school community can make the most out of the festival.
Our aim is to create a festival that feels equitable for a wide range of different people which is why we have created as many free initiatives as possible. We are determined to put the next generation at the heart of the Big Burns Supper programme.
Spiegeltent Showcase
New for this year is our unique showcase event which will run in the Spiegeltent every morning. This is a fantastic way to profile the talents of your pupils across a range of different performing arts.
We are looking for solo performers, choir performances, dancing and instrumental playing. Each participating school will be given 25 minutes of performance to curate what they like.
Each school has been allocated 30 spaces for this event, as well as free transport to the event for your school.
