Encourage more communities to be enterprising about events.
The equipment will be stored in an unused space on Dumfries High Street as part of a pilot programme to share event resources across our community, reducing the carbon footprint in the supply of event equipment.
We are looking for local partners who may be interested in using the events equipment at various points during the year.
This doesn’t need to be binding between us, but it can give us an idea of who might use the equipment.
We will also ask (out of curiosity) whether you have event equipment that could be more widely shared between others. We are trying to make the case for better joint working.
Conditions of usage may be as simple as:
You are responsible for collection and drop off .
You are responsible for cleaning equipment down.
You will need to agree to pay for any damage.
If you are interested in this, we would ask this you express your interest.
Sadly, this is just a proposal and no guarantee of any funding, but we are hopeful that this may stir up some more joint working.
