Dumfries boasts a variety of different accommodation types, as well as a range of self-catering options which are out of town. We would suggest a hire car if you are staying out of town.

There are some amazing restaurants in Dumfries using great local produce, taking advantage of the farms and coast on our doorstep.
This is an active corner of Scotland, and the town is close to forests, beaches and a rich heritage stretching back centuries, as well as cycle, walking and running trails. The area is close to the 7 Staines routes, as well as the Galloway Forest which is Scotland’s biggest forest.
Be sure to check out our local team, Queen of the South who play at Palmerston Park when you are here.
