To mark the relaunch of Big Burns Supper Festival, we will be projecting images and videos of the Aurora Borealis onto a building in Dumfries, running from the 17th – 19th January as part of our 2025 festival.

We are now looking for images and videos from members of the community that may have been captured earlier on in the year when the region was home to some of the best Northern Lights sightings in the country.

The piece will become a 4 minute looped film that will be underscored by a new piece from Dumfries Community Choir.

Please note that you will keep all the rights to your image. You are simply giving us permission to use the image for this one off project. We will credit you during the project, and credits will be given in any publication mentioning the project once it’s complete. Your image will not be used by us for any project other than Borealis. Once the project is finished, we will remove your image from our database. If you have any queries about this, please email programming@bigburnssupper.com.
