Our new Men United project will offer a place on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for members of our community to come and help us construct different elements of our festival. This will include parts of our carnival for our community, some of our festival venues, and some of our really cool light installations.
So no matter what your skills, whether you’ve never used a saw, whether you’re rubbish at measuring up, we’ll have a task for you. You’ll be working as part of a team with our specialist Patrick, who will be encouraging you to demonstrate your construction and building skills.
If you can paint, if you can hammer, or if you can just hold things up, then this is the place for you. We’re actively encouraging more men to attend because we realise that men are less likely to attend cultural activities.
Sessions between 10am and 2pm and 5pm and 8pm run on the following dates:
