•• Carnival 25 – Expression of interest ••

We are looking for expressions of interests from primary schools in the Dumfries & Galloway area who are interested in taking part in Carnival 25.

Submit your expression here 

Participating schools:

  • Ideally a P5, P6 or P7 school group.
  • All through P1-P7 for rural or smaller schools.
  • Over 90% are expected to take part in the Carnival Day itself.
  • At least 1 x school staff need to be in attendance on Carnival Day

Timeline

May 24 – Schools confirmed

Aug – Nov 24 – 2 x Full days Workshops in your school (between 3-6 hours) in dance and street theatre

Jan 25 – 1  day (between 3-6 hours)  rehearsal in your school

18th January – Carnival day – meet at Dumfries Academy at 2.30pm, Carnival at 5pm.

There is no cost to taking part, all teaching and materials are provided free of charge thanks for the generous support of the Holywood Trust.
