•• A Dumfries Drag Queen’s call to celebrate the first Pride event in 10 years ••

A Dumfries Drag queen calls upon every gay, straight, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender individual in Dumfries and Galloway to celebrate the first Pride event in 10 years.

The whole of Dumfries and Galloway is called upon to celebrate the first Pride event to be staged in the region in 10 years.

One event taking place at Pride 2018 is the very special one-off edition of the Big Burns Suppers box office hit, Queen Haggis, on September 15th at 9pm in the Theatre Royal.

Organisers are gearing up to welcome a star-studded cast of celebrated local and gay national artists. Queer Haggis, which is produced by award winning theatre makers Elektronika (producers of Big Burns Supper and the 5-star show, Le Haggis), opened Big Burns Supper 2018 in the Spiegeltent and included an international cast of performers alongside local artists.

LGBT Plus who are sponsoring the event will be hosting an outrageous after-party, encouraging artists and audiences to party into the early hours of the morning. This is included in the Queer Haggis ticket price and will take place in the Theatre Royals licensed bar.

One local artist performing in the show is the celebrated, Ivanna Coch, from Le Haggis. She will be performing alongside the events host, Virgin Extravaganza, a popular Drag Queen from New York

Dumfries’ most hated Drag Queen, Ivanna Coch, said:

“We’ve not had a Pride event in Dumfries for 10 years outside of Queer Haggis! It’s great to be back in Dumfries after a lengthy Ibiza tour, and needless to say, I’m excited to get my nails into the back of my hometown, Dumfries.”

The event is not exclusive and everyone is invited to dress for the occasion and join in on the celebrations. Tickets can be purchased online at www.bigburnssupper.com or by calling 01387 271 820

This special one-off show is produced by ELEKTRONIKA, in partnership with LGBT Plus and the Theatre Royal, Dumfries.
