We are looking for traders for our 2027 Festival.

Dumfries & Galloway Carnival returns for  2027 we will be presenting three days of live music and outdoor installation from 29th January to 31st January 2027 in the centre of Dumfries. 

The events kick off at 12pm on Friday 29th – Sunday 31st January at 11pm. 

We will have several pitches for food and drinks vendors around Fountain Square.  It will be a good opportunity for post Christmas sales and for you to connect your brand with our loyal audience. 

These will be self running pitches with no electricity. You are responsible for your own event waste. 

We aim to create a good market which is mixed with lots of different products and will give priority to locally sourced products from Dumfries & Galloway or the wider Borderlands area. 

In all cases Big Burns Supper will hold the license for the area and we will be responsible for the site. 

Capacity

This event is targeted at 3,000 free spectators per day, with around 9,000 expected on the Saturday. 

We will be investing significantly to drive visitors from Friday right through to Sunday.

We are capping food traders to 7 to ensure all traders get a decent return.

Trading times 

Trading times are 12pm to 11pm over the three days.

Promotion 

You will be featured in the festival website, as well as the printed festival map which is distributed to 10,000 people, including our event build up on socials.  The better your social content the more likely we can talk about it.

Pitch Fees

Pitch fees for food and drinks vendors will be set at £375 for the three days. This includes 24 hour security patrol, the food and drinks seating area, event recycling and customer waste. 

If you are successful in your pitch, we will request a booking deposit of £175 to be paid before 30th September 2026.
