•• Young people invited to take part in Dumfries Carnival! ••

Dumfries Carnival is making its triumphant return as part of Guid Nychburris parade on Saturday 18th June 2022.

The carnival story follows Jeannie through a look at Dumfries throughout the years all the way from 1958 until 2050! The story was created in collaboration with school pupils around the region, who took part in our Dumfries TV project in 2021. Watch our carnival story here:

We’re inviting all young people aged between 8 and 18 years of age to join in the fun, and take part in the Carnival. We’ll provide a pre-made costume, so all they need to do is turn up on the day!

All young people must be accompanied to the Carnival starting location by an adult over the age of 18 years, and must be collected by an adult after the Carnival has finished.

Young people will also be required to attend a rehearsal between 11th and 12th June.
