Would you like to host our artist with your community or voluntary group once a month?
Your group will then get to parade the lantern with a community music brand from across the UK at Dumfries Carnival on 17th January.
We are looking for six more community groups to join our Winter 25/26 cohort by welcoming our artist in residence in their community setting this winter.
Our incredible artist Jonnny will also be visiting every community space entirely on his bike, helping us to make the event greener than ever.
We are now offering 5 sessions between 13th October 2025 and 10th January 2026.
There are 1 session available in October, November and 2 x December.
Each session is programmed for 4 hours to start at 9am or 3pm – but we can reduce these hours dependent on your group. This is to help us map out all of Dumfries & Galloway.
We may arrive earlier to set up for example.
We supply all the materials and artists.
If needs, you can pick less workshops than the full run offered.
Once we confirm groups next week, we will begin doing some risk assessment with you.
We will try and offer an on-boarding call for all groups so you can give us a steer on what to expect.
He will be supported by our trained volunteers.
The group lantern will need to be stored on your site, but it can be broken down into two.
Any ages, ability or approaches to learning – we love inclusion.
