Planning is now underway for Carnival Saturday (30 January), and with funding secured, we are now coming to groups who participated last year to offer you priority invitation to take part again.

This year, we are offering a combined performance package for participating groups, which includes:

• One daytime performance slot of 50 minutes at Fountain Square
• One Carnival staging performance at 4:30pm

The available daytime performance slots are:

• 11:00am – 11:50am
• 12:00pm – 12:50pm
• 1:00pm – 1:50pm
• 2:00pm – 2:50pm

Additional later performance slots at Fountain Square are:

• 3:00pm – 3:50pm
• 4:00pm – 4:50pm
• 6:00pm – 6:50pm
• 7:00pm – 7:50pm
• 8:00pm – 8:50pm
• 9:00pm – 9:50pm

Performance slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Registration will open on Tuesday 5th May at 12 noon, and we will send a reminder beforehand with details on how to select your preferred slot.

We recognise that groups travelling from further afield may naturally prefer mid-afternoon slots. We kindly ask that everyone takes a fair and flexible approach when selecting times, so that we can accommodate as many groups as possible across the programme.

For groups who are able to commit to the earlier daytime slots, we are also pleased to offer an additional opportunity to deliver a community workshop in our Community Hub. This would be a paid session and offers a great way to engage audiences, share your practice, and make the most of your time on site. We recognise this won’t be suitable for everyone, but we’d be happy to share more details with any groups who are interested.
