We’re opening our call for Community Groups across Dumfries & Galloway to take part in our next Carnival
Our Brighter Futures programme brings free creative workshops directly into your community over the winter months, including:
Lantern making
Costume design
Music making
Workshops begin in late September and run through to the end of January, with each group receiving access to 6 tailored workshops delivered in your own community setting.
Sessions are designed with you, delivered at your pace, and supported by a team of volunteers helping make the project as inclusive and accessible as possible.
On 30 January 2027, all participating communities will come together in Dumfries for the Carnival finale.
This project is supported by the People’s Project, meaning it is completely free for all community groups to take part.
🌟 New for this year:
We are also introducing a Community Get Together on Sunday 6 December (12pm–3pm) at Supper Club, bringing all groups together to share food and connect ahead of the Carnival.
